Holiday Cards

From 2008 to 2023 I sent out handmade holiday cards at the end of the year. Once I had a sketch I liked, I drew each card on watercolor card stock with a black Pitt brush marker. Then I’d paint each card with watercolors, often requiring a half-dozen passes or more (I learned early on that for this style it was best to let each color dry before moving on).

The first card was a lino print of a snowman, and that set my theme for every year, with only a few variations.

Here are images of my cards from 2008 to 2014. I always kept one or two for myself, but they’re currently in storage. When I unpack that stuff, I’ll scan in the remaining cards and post them here.
